Typically, the Town Board is the legislative body comprising of a Supervisor/ Mayor and Council members. The Board has the final responsibility on all matters pertaining to the operation of the Town. It exercises this authority in the form of local laws, ordinances and resolutions.

In lay man’s terms the council members and the supervisor/ Mayor vote on all issues that come in front of them. This includes, but not limited to Roads, Garbage collection, Parks, Planning for new developments, Buildings (both commercial and residential) including licensing and zoning issues.
